Founded in early 2021, The Strong Maybes are a collective of ragtag gravel and mountain-bike enthusiasts based in San Antonio, Texas. The group's seven founders are journalists, communications professionals, academics, techies and a lone executive.
Team Motto: "Quit while We're ahead."

The collective's moniker came from a text message, when one would-be founder responded to another who'd inquired about the group's participation in a Central Texas gravel race. "I'm a strong maybe," the executive replied. Boatloads of banter followed, and the name was born.
A key element of being a Strong Maybe is never immediately committing to anything.
